[Moved from another thread for clarity] - qhsdoitall Men are visual creatures... much more so than women. Long hair on a woman is much more "feminine" than short hair, although I do agree that some women look better with short hair. Example. This: is WAY better than this: Actually, we're having this exact discussion (short hair vs. long hair on women) on another forum I read. The vast, vast majority of women look 1000x better with long(er) hair, but there are a few outlying (e.g. the above) exceptions. But, like usual, the exceptions merely prove the rule. (If that first picture is a bit too risky, just let me know and I'll crop it and/or remove it)
For me, hair is part of the total image. I'm not looking just at the hair or any other single aspect of a woman. On some woman, I prefer long, on others, short. As an example with the Halle Berry pictures, I like both of those pictures because with the right clothing and makeup, either is pleasing to the eye. In the first picture, I'm not concentrating on what she is hiding with her arms, I'm seeing the exotic, elfin, playful type picture face is presenting. In the second picture, a more classy, serious look. But you also have to remember that most appearances and photos have been enhanced by the best professionals.
Well, yeah, obv. But simply in the name of fairness and SCIENCE, I submit another set of pics that aren't quite as biased: This: vs:
I believe those pictures may be a few year inbetween when they were taken...much older in the second pic
I don't know. I've always noticed the difference between Halle Berry with long hair or short hair. It's quite a dramatic difference really. She looks like two different people.
Hey!!! I'm as sassy as her everyday, and twice as sassy as her on Sunday! In the same way! That's a little better.....except I don't think we share the same photogenic quality, and other stuff. :ashamed001 But if I had make-up artists, I'd be even "sassier" than her.
Salma fits my desired trifecta of dark, long, and curly - with a tinge of Latin exoticism. This is definitely a classic Latina hair-partially-in-front-of-face-for-effect shot. Just yummy.
