Hi folks! Welcome to a new month. It’s been a good couple of days. Yesterday I visited a friend who lives about an hour away , in NJ. So we don’t see each other as often as we would like. I stayed over & we had a wonderful chance to catch up. I also had time to catch up with her sons who are delightful and intelligent young men. The “little one,” now 14 is almost as tall as I am! I had an orthopedist appointment today. His office is just about midway between her house & mine, so the whole plan worked out well.
I dropped the ball starting this thread (I'm on vacation.) So, thanks @Sara-s for picking up the slack.
I'm actually doing great, thanks for asking! After almost 2 1/2 years of working in a cannery as a temporary worker in quality control (year contracts at 85% of normal pay), I've now got a permanent contract at last and even in a higher function! One of the lead controllers (we have three) left for a better station, so there was a vacancy. Two fellow workers and me applied and I turned out to be the chosen one. The chef knew it five minutes into the interview (so he said later). So I guess I made the right impression. This week or the next I'll sign the contract. They don't know what they got themselves into!

Looking forward to a quilting class tonight at the Joann Fabric store in Paramus. I took another class there & loved it. This will be with the same instructor.
I'm good. My wife wants to move to Colorado, I'm starting to get on board with the idea. In a couple of weeks it will have been 4 years since my mom lost her life to neglect by the nursing home she was a resident of, it doesn't get easier as time goes by. Our grandbabies are growing up so fast, sometimes I feel like I need to apply the break's so time doesn't get away.
The weather kept me inside today. So. Spent much of the day in the craft room, quilting something I sewed at a class last night.
It looks nice, but I can't enlarge it. So I'll go with my intuition and stick with saying it's nice .
I have had gifts and pif's flooding through my door...so very happy chappy, never having seen most of the stuff gives me a chance to find out what I like or prefer and enables me to both save cash on buying stuff I may not like. Found a few I already really like...but none I dont like Robert.
I got out early today to go to the archery range. Later, I will be going out for dinner with the hubby.
I did something new this morning: breakfast in a hamburger restaurant ;-) (on invitation even) Afterwards I had a real breakfast at home ;-)
