Currently running around 90" in the basement home theater/storage room. Running an Optoma hd projector connected to htpc. Not a great pic took it with the phone, but the pic from projector is very detailed and sharp. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
It's not the size of the screen that counts. Not too big, not too small, but it has to be juuust right. At least that's what I'm told.
We have two. The one in the living room is an older 52" Samsung LCD. I have it hooked up to a Marantz SR7000 and a mix of speakers. Fronts are Paradigm Titans, center is Cambridge Soundworks (the biggest one of that model) the rears are Dayton Audio satellites and the sub is a Cambridge Soundworks 15" Bass Cube. The one in the basement man cave is a 65" 4K Samsung LED. It is hooked up to a Harman Kardon 1610S with a Klipsch 5.1 speaker system. R-620F floor standing towers, R-14S surrounds, R-52C center channel and R-120SW sub. I love this setup for watching movies. I also use this system to listen to records. I have Rega Planar 1 turntable to spin my precious vinyl. I do think the turntable would sound better with the Marantz receiver but the spacial configuration upstairs doesn't allow for a turntable.
We just upgraded in the Den 3 years ago and went to a 70" 4k Vizio it died within one year almost to the day After a nightmare dealing with Best Buy warranty, we paid extra and bought the 70" Sony 4k We have the room and the wall to go up to 120" so we are looking at a 90" at least for the next one Understand we live in the Boonies, and during the winter we watch A LOT of TV hehehehe
Reminds me of a quote from: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel "His dick was so big, it wasn't a dick at all. It was a Richard"
73" Mitsubishi rear projection tv. Needs a really dark room, but has a terrific picture. I wish it was 4K.
I know several people that also had the same experience with Vizio tv's. As a matter of fact I was visiting a friend today and I noticed he just bought a new Visio tv---probably won't turn out to be one of the best investments he's ever made. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
