I have a couple of old brush handles that I would like to put new knots in. My question is how can I widen them to accept larger knots and also make them deeper as they are only about 7-8 mm deep? One is a Klenzo B 843 and the other is an Erskine.

It's very easy using a paddle drill bit and a drill stand. Use a wise to hold the handle firmly in place.

Depending on the handle, I have used a variable speed Dremel tool with a sanding stone bit to enlarge the holes.

This is my method. Good luck. Also, a Dremel is ha handy tool to have around.

How do you deepen a handle? I have several handles that are 10mm and I want to deepen them to 15mm or 17mm.

A lathe machine can do the widen-deepen job exactly as you want
I have modified many brushes using a drill or bits with a Dremel and sandpapers
Lot of work, dust, noise and the result isn't always perfect although very good.
