I really, really like the Arko shave stick. The smell was a bit offputting for me at first, but it grows on you.

The lather is thick and rich very quickly, with little effort. Balancing the enjoyment of the shave with the economy of time, this really works for me. It is a "go-to" shave soap that appears frequently in my rotation.

The scent isn't growing on me, but I'll agree with John on the lather quality from the stick. I've smashed a stick into a small tin and use it when travelling, but due to scent (and only scent), it won't ever be a regular part of my rotation. I know scent is personal and some people love the Arko scent and I think they're getting a great bargin.

I concede that Arko provides excellent lather and a decent shave. I simply can not get past the scent however. I usually get a headache after I use it. Even with it's low price, it's not worth it to me. For a little more, I can get a stick of Palmolive which smells and works great.

I've tried the sensitive cream from the TSD store. Loved it- including the scent.

I LOVE Arko--the stick is a true friend of my skin, and I enjoy the lather, and scent. Most of the creams are also great, and the A/S gels I tried, the Commando and Aqua are so cooling, fresh, soothing, and smell beautiful.

Thomas, my wife cannot stand the scent of the Arko stick, but I will NEVER stop to use it--I LOVE it! :D If she smells it, she doesn't want to kiss me after! :happy102

Another thumbs up here for the Arko stick. It's high quality at a low low price and its soapy scent does not bother me.

I sent a stick of Arko off on a PIF. I couldn't stand the scent and never even tried it.

Not tried it yet, but after the last wonderful shave sticks I tried, it is on my list.

I love the shave stick and use it often. The scent is a bit strong, sorta like industrial strenght Ivory soap, but I like Ivory soap so no problem.

That is a great description of the Arko Shave stick scent.

I got a free tube of Arko normal shave cream with my last order from Giovanni. I really like the performance and the scent. It's an all around great bargain in my opinion.

Arko's hands down the best of the inexpensive brands - haven't used in a long time, though. Miss the stick. Puck is top-notch too.

do all the arko products have basically the same scent? I just ordered some of the shave sticks to try and one of the aftershaves. If it's anything like the cream I tried (or Ivory soap-which I love) I'll be pretty happy. :)
