Now this is a question that for some reason fascinates me. I flip flop on this and go from have only three soaps in rotation to one to as high as 28 at one time. Currently I am at 14. How about you?
Right now I am at 32, not counting a handful of samples. A lot of these are at half or less, and as I finish them off I intend to keep a much smaller number.
About 30. Pretty set on the rotation in that next one up gets used. If I don't like a soap, it doesn't go in the rotation.
I was up to as high as 28, but some I didn't care for, I PIF'd a few, actually finished a few and a couple were sent to the showers. The 14 I have in rotation now are all very nice performers.
40 something soaps and probably the same number of creams although I didn't take the time to count those too. Plus lots of cream samples and a handful of soap samples. I've got two or three I don't use so I didn't count them and I've certainly got favorites that get used more often. I'm considering becoming a shaving hedonist.
Varies from using one until I get bored, to pulling them all out (around 20, including samples) and using each once. I put the less liked back in storage to await another day.
That's about all I have as well. I have had as many as a dozen but weeded thru some bad actors and have quite a few that are for reference and not in rotation. It's kind of nice being able to switch things up and go back to basics or something extraordinary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Whatever strikes my fancy with a sex trillion variables. But the majority of what I have are B&M, mickey lees, chiseled face, fine, Dr jons and ttf in no particular order. Many others as well but the listed I have multitudes.
I have 5 soaps from different makers and 3 creams in my Den as of right now. I mostly use Arko however and so I have 14 sticks. I'm on a clearing out kick now and so have been using up some other pucks. I've discovered I dislike sandlewood a great deal.
4, and haven't used more than 2 lately. I am thinking of pushing the boat out to 6 soaps but I can't quite convince myself to do it.
Currently at the moment I have 9 in my rotation which are below Arko Stick Shaving Soap Haslinger Schafmilch Sheep Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF) La Toja Stick Shaving Soap Mitchell's Wool Fat Pre De Provence No. 63 Shaving Soap Stirling Barbershop Shaving Soap Stirling Bay Rum Shaving Soap Tabac Soap The Body Shop Maca Root Shaving Cream AND I have another 8 different soaps will be added towards my current rotation very soon which comes to a total of 17, and is going to keep me happy and busy during my whole wet shaving rotation for a very long time.
I try to use a soap or cream for at least 2 weeks or 10 shaves consecutively, sometimes longer, before I move on to the next candidate. Here is what I have: Route 66 Lumberjack TSD Old Spice type TSD Wheat Lemon & Cedarwood Dusy Kabinett Maca Root cream (unopened) Haslinger Salbei (unopened) Col. Conk almond (unopened) Dr. Bronner's unscented (unopened) C.O. Bigelow - 2 - 1.7 oz. tubes (1 unopened) Ian S One big tub for leftovers and slivers Derby shaving stick - in my Dopp kit 4 small tubs of the Eli's Extracts head shaving cream If I use it all extravagantly, I expect to have a 5 year supply of soaps, however, with normal use, I expect this to last me at least 10 years.
@Troy M I reckon mine would last me at least 15 years or more on normal used for a total of different 17 soaps, and beside does shaving soap last forever without going all bad
