Hi. I am currently using a butterfly hair shaper shavette. Problem is, the slot somehow accumulate water and is rusting the spine of the hair shaper blade. It is impossible to keep that slot dry after shaving and the rust is sticking to the inside of the slot. I know the slot material is stainless steel. But the spine of the blade's rust is sticking onto the inside of the slot. Some advise please?

Treat it like a carbon steel straight and don't rinse it under water. Just wipe the blade with a towel to remove the lather.

    thevez2 uses Gillette's new Tarantula Razor - 8 blades!!

What brand of blade are you using? I regularly use Personna and Fromm and have never had the spines rust on me. I rinse the blade under water all throughout my shave and the only thing I do when I'm done is to shake the excess water out. I don't worry about getting it totally dry.

I'm using butterfly supreme blade. A japanese made brand. So how do I get rid of the rust accumulated inside?

On my old Weck shavette, I used WD40 and slid paper towel in the slot to clean out the rust as best I could. I haven't had a rust problem, but the original owner must have.
