So, what if your favorite aftershave splash (ahem, currently Pinaud's Gent's Gin) doesn't come in a balm - can you make one?
I sometimes like a "runny" lotion as a finishing touch. Can I make one using by mixing something with Gent's Gin?

If you want to make a balm, add vegetable glycerin. You should be able to find it at Wal*Mart or a well stocked pharmacy. It will probably be in the same section as rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.

It will thicken your aftershave a bit. Corn Husker's lotion might work too. Both solutions might dry a bit tacky.

Xantham gum might be an option as well.

Edit: actually, I just recommend adding xantham gum. A little goes a long way. Like 1%. It can be found in the baking aisle. It's a powder.
