Well, I have a reason to make my new bloody article about military shaving. Seems like we have several months of extensive exercises coming up, so I may disappear randomly but that doesn't mean I won't be doing traditional shaves The length of them though means I probably won't be bringing my straight razor this time - once I get my kit sorted out I'll get something up there though for people to have a peek at.
Today is a good day. I won an auction on the bay for a 1965 Gillette Slim Adjustable (k2). Got the notification that it shipped. Can't wait to get it.
ugh.... massive freaking headache... Gotta get over it so I can get my procrastinating done properly. Must drink more coffee....
I have to pack for a business trip to the Pittsburgh area tomorrow. The weather forecast says they high will be 22°F in Pittsburgh tomorrow, and it's T-shirt weather here in Houston. I expect it will be a lovely trip.
I'm 36 years old, working in an industry I have no faith in, on antidepressants that are waning in their effectiveness, and my boss (whom I like working for/with) announced yesterday that he's out of here at the end of the school year. That's how my day is.
It's almost noon and only 17F(-8C). Just glade the Wood Chuck saw its shadow!! Think of how cold it would be if he hadn't !!-(
Protip for any future military. Don't forget to salute an officer. More importantly. Don't forget to do that in front of the Regimental Sergeant Major. Boy I'm glad I'm not that guy, my ears are still ringing from hearing how his afternoon is going.
