My son had a bunch of friends over today. They cooked dinner, made some pie for dessert and we had a load of fun. It's a nice couple of guys 'n' gals.

No work in the house today. I've had an ear infection since last Sunday and I figure the dust wouldn't help any...

On a lighter note it was funny to watch the cashier's face at target as she was undoubtedly trying to figure out why I was buying a dozen toothbrush carriers. I can neatly slip my straights into their socks and then into these carriers. I'll feel better shipping the next 4 or 5 out packaged like this than wrapping them in bubble wrap or having to make little tubes to put them in...

Earlier today and last night, the church hosted a women's conference. An event like this takes a huge amount of work and dedication by staff—with the additional responsibility of prepping for two Sunday services. Nearly 300 women from all over Northern & Southern California attended the day & 1/2 event. I'm glad I was allowed tomorrow and Monday off to recover….:)

I've had better days. I spent the last 6 months going through a bone graft for a dental implant then had the titanium screw installed. Yesterday I went to have the stitches out and was told the graft didn't take and the screw would have to be removed and a new graft started. I made an appointment for next week to have the procedure done, then late last night I woke up to go to the bathroom and found the screw under my tongue! Thank goodness I didn't swallow it in my sleep. A couple of hours later my 7 year old daughter woke me up complaining with her throat and ears. Took her to urgent care clinic and she has strep throat. To top the day off I took my second shave with the Ikon OSS with a Gillette yellow. The first time I used it I cut a skin tag on my throat using the open comb side. I deliberately did it again today hoping I could shave it off cleanly and not be bothered with it anymore. Well it cut it some more but not completely. It did however start bleeding profusely. So much so it looked like a Colombian necktie. I finally took a toenail clipper to what was left, took a shower that resembled a scene from Psycho, slapped a bandage on it, took a narcotic and went to bed for four hours.

Bless you. It's bad enough when you're sick, but the little one to boot is aweful. Better days are ahead.

Good heavens, over here in the UK, so much bad luck would be associated with a very, very, old saying, that being, if you had bad luck it was reputed as justice for killing a "lucky black cat" in your particular case, I have to ask. "How many"?

Hope everything works out for you, and your daughter. Best wishes, speedy recovery.

Went to Spencer's yesterday, and they had some stuff on deep discount. Picked up this $120 laser fog lamp for $30! uploadfromtaptalk1393805141502.jpg

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

Got a front coming thru Houston, temp dropped from about 68°F to 38°F in about two hours. I guess I have to switch the thermostatic from AC to heat. Of course it's going to be much worse in the northeast, so I'm not complaining, just making an observation.

It's going from a thunderstorm to ice here in Northwest Mississippi. I hope we don't lose power!

Woke up to realize I hadn't cooked any rice for my lunch today (All I eat for lunch is rice and cheese), gave myself a black thumbnail from throwing something in the dryer and accidentally hitting the face of the dryer with my thumb, the doors to the car were frozen shut, and the ice scraper broke 1/4 of the way through scraping my windshield.

    Pretty good day, so far!

The snow missed us to the south. I am so glad I don't have to deal with it this morning.

    It's stinking cold out though...
