I've been out of touch because of the hurricane. Power was out for a few days, which wasn't fun. Still boiling water because of flooding and Spectrum hasn't got internet up yet. Using cell phone internet is sporadic at best. But I'll try to get on here when possible.
Glad your all right and survived one powerful storm that turned a lot of folks lives upside down and some perished unfortunately.
We are currently Still without power or water or internet or whatever too and our area was / is torn up also.. it's currently day 8 or 9 or whatever.. glad u have power and all.. we got lucky though , we are alive at least. ..
I never imagined that my family would be a part of those you see on TV where FEMA And the Military are coming in and bringing disaster supplies at our primary residence but we are !! I mean I could see it happening at our house in Florida but not a couple of states higher up ..
Just a quick update. Power was restored after a few days without it. And we had to boil water for a while, also we did a couple cold showers before power was restored. Internet took a while to restore, but it still goes down at times. It took a good amount of time for clean up from fallen trees and power/internet lines. So we're basically back to normal, except one thing, cell coverage isn't back to normal, oh well. Hopefully I'll be back to normal on here, and other sites, in a day or two.
Hang in there baby, to quote a 1970s poster. It can be very trying in the aftermath of a disaster, to say the very least, so wishing you all the best! The same for all the others who are dealing with hurricane issues.
Took a while but everything was restored but Spectrum goes out every so often. I had to take a trip for a remembrance weekend for a friend who passed. It turned out to be a 10 day trip and I should be home in a day or so.
I’ve been away for a while, and am glad to hear that those of you who were hit by the storms are getting your lives back in order. Stay strong and be resilient.
I came back home yesterday, but I needed a lot of rest from too much. I'll be back to posting my SOTDs tomorrow.
