Any fans of the Skagen or other hybrid (connected) watches? At $67-$122 on sale I'm pretty impressed with the look and specs. I need a travel watch for little $ and don't think I really need all the stuff that full Android Wear brings to the table.[IMG][IMG]

The Skagen is a nice looking watch, particularly if you're looking for a dress watch. I'm a big fan of the Orient Bambino, another dress watch alternative with a mechanical movement.

I recently picked up a Casio G-shock DW5600E-1V for a travel watch. Not a dress watch by any means, but a pretty good value for less than $40.

Interested in some limited connectivity which is why the Skagen Connected line appeals.

Oh, I see. I didn't pick up on that capability. It looks like a nice watch, for sure.

I have an older Skagen dress watch, actually it's my only dress watch. Square black face with gold trim. I don't wear it too often. Needs a new band.

I’m wearing my 5600E right now. I’ve had it since 2010 and worn it without fear of ever damaging it. The original battery is still hanging on, which is more than I can say for band and keeper. I’m going to keep loving the brave service it provides until the battery dies, then replace it with a new 5600. I don’t trust non-factory tinkering to be waterproof.

    A great watch value IMO.

I apologize for taking your thread in the wrong direction. When I read 'travel watch,' I immediately thought of a reliable watch that I could afford to lose. That prompted me to respond as I did. The 'connectivity' functionality is lost on me. Again, I'm sorry for not reading your initial post more carefully. Have a good one, and I hope you find a watch that meets your needs. :happy088:

It looks nice, but I don't get the whole "Connectivity" thing. Is it like a Dick Tracy thing?
I love the looks, but am unable to wear leather bands. My sweat destroys leather bands fast. Too acidic.

Hehe no problem. It's a shaving site after all.

It's exactly a Dick Tracy thing. Bands are interchangeable, steel or silicone also available.

Hybrid, so it tells the time and shaves?

    How does it shave?

I'll let you know. I have minimal expectations but it might surprise me.

Got the Jorn today, quite happy with it and glad I didn't get the slightly bulkier Hagen. Firmware updated, provides for 12 custom notifications.[IMG]
