Where is, in your opinion, the best place to buy knots for a reknot?

There are only a few places where you can buy them.

    Whipped dog
    Golden nib
    and
    Virginia Sheng

I recommend searching the last one for a high density knot - I have bought 3 of them and they are very nice. The Golden Nib high mountain white also look very nice.

Of all of my brushes I like this one as it was a joint operation between myself and Steve aka Oscar11. That's the reason for the name "Old Corps & Oscar 11"'

Ace Shaving Products on eBay also sells some pretty decent knots as well as the ones markjnewcomb mentioned. I have used TGN and WD knots, and, while they're both good, I prefer TGN because they have a bigger selection.

After so many fails i will say: NOT from Frank Shaving and relative sellers of that brand !

    :angry019:

I have some photos to show you from crappy knots 3 kinds
They use different quality in their "ready" brushes than to separate knots
I have tested dozens of them i speak the truth with evidence.
There is no consistency in that brand except the Black Badgers
One month you get a good badger knot but some other times not,it happened so many times and that means it wasn't just one time bad luck buying.
It's nor trusted, you will lose money and effort with these knots in that period.
I don't sell or promote for another store brushes or knots
I am a simple traditional shaver and i want to make other people learn from my mistakes.

I've had good results from TGN. Have used many of there knot. Quick shipping, fair pricing. Do you know what type of knot your looking for? If badger what grade? I reccomend the F2 from TGN.

I cut the old knot down as low as possible. Carefully drill a hole down into the knot. Then sand the old knot/epoxy out slowly using a dremel.

Ah the first time is a .....
I have a rubber set brush as well... that stunk horribly. The one set in wood was a breeze.

How deep are knots usually set? I know the rubber set wasn't set deep, but the handle that was glued in was quite deeper. @GDCarrington @HooiserTrooper
