I finally ordered some TABAC, but not the tub of soap that is pretty much the golden standard, I opted for the cream. WOW! An all around great shavin' cream IMHO which explodes in a bowl with a couple of brisk whisks. Like Vetiver you either love it or hate! I love the scent so much I purchased the cologne!
I definitely prefer the soap to the cream version of Tabac, although I wouldn't insult the cream all the way. I find it however, to be less protective, and not as much cushion as what the soap offers in lather, and I also find the lather to be lacking in richness and stability. The scent is Tabac all the way, and I received this tube as a gift, so I had to rate it as a 10. Would I buy Tabac cream again? No, I doubt it.
I love my TABAC cream. I can fully comply with the first post! I whips up in a matter of seconds and gives me a very smooth, lubricating and protective shave. I prefer it to my TOB creams. Plus the lather lasts really long! Price? For about (current currency rates used) $6,- US A steal, and my go to stuff.
