I made a pie!

    First time I ever made a pie! Pumpkin pie from scratch. The spot on the left is a bit of dough that fell in and I was hoping would sink. Nope!

    Congratulations! "Easy as pie" is an old wives' joke. A decent pie is one of the more difficult desserts, especially the crust.

    Pie ... mmmm ...You may have started a new category of PIF.

    Looks good! I'd have a hard time waiting until after the dinner today... I did this a couple years ago and haven't done it again :) It was good but lots of work.

    My mother came from Oklahoma, so she always referred to it a 'pee-KAN' pie' while out here, most Californy denizens seem prone to referring to the dessert as 'puh-KAHN' pie.
    Call it what you want…I still want some!
