Fakery aside, the BIC blades are fantastic! I would be perfectly happy if that was the only blade left in existence being made.
I only tried a few tucks of them years ago, but unfortunately did not get along with them at the time. I am sure it was more my prep and technique than the blade. I may still have a couple of them here and will have to give it a try the next time I pull out a de.
BIC chrome platinum have zero wax on them. They are the cleanest DE blades I've ever seen. They are my ultimate blade, but definitely need the right razor otherwise they'll feel extremely harsh on the skin. In razors that bend the blade, the BIC rocks!! E.g. RR BBS, Progress, Rockwell, Yates, Rocca, Henson and the like. The BIC CP have ousted the mighty polsilver from the #1 spot!!
