...on wet shaving. They all came up last Saturday, and I gave my grandson the case of razors. Got a text from my son later that evening..."Say, are these for usin' or just lookin' at?" "They ain't doin' no good sittin' inna box, boy. Grab that fat-handled Tech & a Voskhod, and get busy." Reckon he'll get one of my brushes next time I go down there.
Great! After I got my first DE, my son showed an immediate interest, and was soon wanting to borrow it. I later gave him a Weber DE for his birthday. He's currently sporting a short beard, but he still uses the Weber for trimming up his neck. It's great to pass something like this down to the next generation.
My dad got me and my brother. We all 3 use a DE. I got my son and daughter, both of which have opted to leave DEs for the cheap plastic crap. They'll be back once the realize cheap and plastic is no way to be.
This is all well and good-now kids of today need to get out of the Axe craze and into Clubman, Stirling, Rte 66, etc....etc...
I guess there are worse things a parent could get there kids "hooked" on.....well done, now you have to talk to the wife for him.
The Gillette Tech is a great starter razor. I've hooked plenty back to traditional DE shaving with it. Although younger son tells me he's a injector man now.
You and your son could go on TV and to an ad where you do your shave and then flip the Weber to him(just like we saw with the Aqua Velva ads of yore).
My daughter sometimes has problems with her arm pits, so I tried unsuccessfully to convince her to give DE a try, thinking that 5 bladed piece of plastic was part of the problem. Maybe someday....and on top of that, my son-in-law thinks Dollar Shave Club is the least expensive way to shave.....working on him also.
