I love the little mini! Is it a travel brush? Where did you get it?

    A Simpson's Wee Scot!

It's an iconic - and absolutely terrific - little brush!

I've got a wee scot as well. It's more of a novelty brush than a travel brush, since Simpson's sells the case, which is a dedicated travel brush and about twice the size of the wee scot.

I used to have a vintage wee scot, which was even smaller than the modern versions. In Simpson's numbering system, the original is a 1 (12-13mm), the current "wee scot is a 2 (14mm), and the case is 3.

The original was a "rite of passage" and a Simpson's employee had to make a wee scot to prove that they were a master brush maker. It was/is considered the hardest brush to make.

My Wee Scot is one of my favorite brushes. I definitely prefer it to The Case, as far as the wee ones go.

I have read - on other forums/fora - that Vulfix makes the Caswell-Massey brushes.

I can believe it as these two have the same ivory color to my eye. One day I hope to stumble across a Simpson or similar quality badger in the wild. Until then my budget badgers serve.

    Vulfix owns Simpson's.

Yes, but other than the Simfix releases, they are still separately operating companies/facilities, correct?

Their offerings are different enough, it isn’t quite a Chevy/GMC thing yet.

They have been able to keep the Simpson brushes feeling like Simpsons, the Vulfix like Vulfix.

I remember reading somewhere that all Simpson brushes are made in house at Vulfix, and have been since the merger.
