See y'all after the weekend... going to San Diego to visit my relatives. I'll be picking up the barber chair that has been in the family since 1860, or thereabouts. I've been trying to snag it from my uncle for about 30 years. I hope it's salvageable... If it's the one I have been after, it was used in the very first barber shop in Salt Lake City, Utah. My great great grandfather on my mom's side. It was his shop.
Have a great trip Bill ! Try to stop by Stone Brewery if you can or go to Pizza Port in Solana Beach for a great brew (their pizza aint half bad either ) Cant wait to see the barber chair
Got back from my trip. What an experience on the way down. Here I was, all excited to use the navigation in my new truck. The thing wound up sending us down Topanga Canyon Road to the coast, then through the seedy parts of LA. I'm glad I remembered to pack my gun. As it turns out, somehow or another, the preferences for the navigation programming were set to ignore highways. I made an incorrect assumption that the default settings would allow the highways. It tried to take us 400 or so miles by using side streets. :angry032 I changed the preferences in LA while parked in a very well lit parking lot. Don't think for a second, my right ear wasn't being chewed off all the way there. I told the wife that to keep it from happening on the way back, I was going to change the navigation prompt voice from a female to a male 'cause the gal was the one who sent us off to Timbucktoo. Baa haa haa haa... :rofl
