Just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you all know that today is my first day back at work after my six week paternity leave, where I didn't think of much else besides the new baby and trying to remember to pick our older son up from school. I missed hanging out with you all, but now that I'm back at work (while I should be working) I will be posting regularly (even though I should be working) and giving my two cents worth. (did I mention that I should be working?)

Beautiful Tom! I pray all is going well at home with her and the rest of the family. I'm sure it has to be tough to be away from them while working now. Nothing beats that excitement though from your kids when they see you walk through the door. One of my favorites parts of the day and makes being away during the day tolerable.
Thanks Brian and Steve! Yeah, it sucks to be away, but like you said seeing them when I get home will hopefully make up for it.

Yes they do. My baby daughter will be 17 next month, which is hard for me to believe. Three boys 35, 30 and 21 ahead of her. It is truly frightening how fast the years go by.

Thanks, Mike! We are getting about a 5 hour stretch at night. That's from anywhere between 8 and 9 o'clock to about 2 am. Then she eats and is up again by 5 am. It could be worse, but we sure will be happy when she sleeps through the night. Everything else is going well and that includes my wife. Thanks for asking.
