I started making a new batch of bay rum because I’m starting to get low, and I decided to tweak the recipe I used a bit (including using everclear alongside the rum, and replacing the clove with a pinch of cardamom). Could it be a good idea to pour this new batch into the old bottle with a little bit of the first batch still in it? Have any of you done this or do you always keep different recipes separate?
I haven’t done this myself, but I would be inclined to keep them separate. That was there is no confusion as to how any changes in your recipe affect the product.
