By far, the nicest menthol cream you can buy. Ingram has a rich, creamy lather with a beautful scent, and a whopper of a cooling effect. A top favorite of mine. Jeff
I've used it several times now with the same results: The lather is drying on my face and the lubrication is suboptimal. I love the cooling effect of it but that's about all.
when I saw the 12,00 price for Ingram from BI, I was scandalized. How can anyone charge that kind of money for Ingram? Jeff
Well as far as US retailers are concerned, this is the only place to get it....and the last time I ordered from Westons the cost of shipping was more than the price of the products themselves. Ordering from Westons "might" save you a buck or two, but it'll take longer, and there isn't much other stuff you can get there like you can from Giovanni. With that said, this talk (all of the talk about WHERE to get ingram and HOW MUCH to pay) should be moved to a discussion thread - and Jeff, I think you're just the guy that can make it happen.
Boubi, I swear, I don't know what to say--I love that stuff to pieces! I get fabulous results with it. Plenty of Booford lather, and it smells sooooooo sweet! The cooling sensation is another thing I love from it.
I love this cream. It make rich, thick lather with hardly any effort at all, it's very slick and it has a nice cooling effect (less than Proraso). The scent is just OK, nothing spectacular. As for the price, well it depends. If you buy it in England is dirt cheap. If you're a buyer from the States is probably more than what I'd want to pay.
Found this stuff in my local chemist for £1.99. I was allergic to Proraso but not to this product. Being a menthol it naturally has to be compared to proraso. Ingram was less than half the price of proraso. Lathered better than proraso. Smelled similar but perhaps better than proraso Just found it better than proraso all round. The cooling sensation is fantastic. I bought some for my work colleagues including the brushless version and they also report very favourably.
Nice and cold! I got this stuff on a whim, in fact as a replacement for the infamous Noxzema and this was next in line. I shaved 4 straight days with it and pleased to say this this stuff does rock! The scent is straight menthol though which is nice because I can use it to superlather. It does have a menthol kick which is higher than proraso which I enjoy. I will keep this fine product in my rotation from here on out!
Excellent lather, elegant tube and well-scented. Performers beautifully but, unlike reviews, I find it less cooling than Proraso, which, though less mentholated than other creams, feels orgasmic on the skin. *EDIT* Ingrams is much better-feeling than Proraso.
This one is a little bit more watery then I am used to in shave creams, which is not always a bade thing. This scent is very nice and lathered up real well, of course I am yet to run across a shave cream yet that does not later up excellently. Not exactly the most moisturizing shave cream out there but does pretty well. It lubricates and protects your face real well so that you can not get a cut even if you tried.
Nice Menthol Cream. Ease of Lather - While it's not hard to get great lather, my tube has an inconsistent texture with little lumps of harder cream that take extra work. It doesn't hurt the final lather in any way, but takes extra time. Life Span - Never been an issue. Moisturizing - Pretty good (it has lanolin), but not quite MWF good. Lubricating - VERY Slick. Protective - Better than most but not so extreme as to make it hard to get a good shave. Scent - Always very personal. I find it nice, but nothing special. Price - $10/tube at most vendors is reasonable. I may buy it again if I get a good deal. I need to keep something around for Menthol Mondays and this is good, but so are a couple others. It will really depend on if it's on sale the next time I'm buying a menthol cream.
A staple of my rotation now. Being in the UK its easy to obtain and cheap. Its cooling menthol provides a great wake up in the morning.
