Ehh, its cheaper now than before when you had to have someone bring it back with them or pay a fortune to the 2 vendors that carried it... I don't use it often, but its essentially the German version of Irish Springs, pronounced Erish Mows *German co-worker remembers the commercials* It makes a quality lather, Palmolive is by far a better value though.
Yup. Very good lather and I really like the scent. Not really crazy about using sticks (my Speick was grated and pressed into a bowl), but I'll keep this as a stick to say I have one and use it on occasion.
To be honest, I think the Irisch Moos stick not only smells great, it has AWESOME lather and pretty good skincare.
I believe that it is made by the same folks that make Tabac and to me it has very similar lathering performance but with an Irish Spring scent. I'd love this (more) if it was made in a puck.
I think it's the best-smelling shave stick I've used. Decent skincare, but I think Palmolive is a much better value for a tallow stick.
Just received one that I bid on from eBay. New, unopened, in the box. Tried a slice of the stick. Lathers nice and the slice does last. 3 shaves and there's still enough on the bottom of the bowl for tomorrow.
Well I may have to grab me a stick of it then!!! Thanks for the replies gentlemen! Tomorrow I am going to try the Dublin Tweed stick I traded with sir Shawn.... it smells like a lemony deodorant lol and I love it hahaha... the Arko that I used today performed amazingly!!! Im beginning to love this shave stick business!! And face lathering is pretty nice!! Never did much of it at all! Maybe once before today and I think I may be hooked...however I still like to bowl lather so I will keep both methods in steady rotation... speaking of which I think for V-Day my better half is probably going to be getting me a Dirty Bird Scuttle... not 100% on that but shes been awfully interested in scuttles the last week and talkin about v-day....and shes not a wet shaving kinda broad lol so I can only hope!! Haha but whatever she gets me I will be more than happy with it !!
Irisch Moos has a great scent and makes a great lather. I'm not to fond of sticks though, I grated mine into a small bowl.
I will send you the rest of mine (mostly full) when you are able to finish up the gothic spider fairy.
I bought some because of the plastic case that allows for easy traveling. I love the scent, but I have always like Irish Spring soaps!
I've always wanted to try Irisch Moos because I love Irish Spring soap - I just haven't gotten around to getting any.
This stick has another fan now, somewhat qualified. The lather is excellent, I have to be careful not to use too much "product" and overdo it. The smell is quite strong at the moment, although it may be one of those that mellows out a bit with use. For me, it's one of those things where I had to stop and think, "do I like this or don't I?" I've decided that I do. I'm not sure what it actually smells like, though. Irish Spring soap? Don't think I've ever used that, although I remember their commercials. "You're a strong man Sean. Aye, a mite too strong..." For performance, comparing other sticks only, I'd rank this about equal with Arko and LaToja, much better than Palmolive. A little pricey, but not ridiculously so. Once the tube is empty, I may or may not buy more, but I can always refill the tube with Arko if I don't.
It is one of the best soaps in my opinion. I still had a bar of Irish Spring soap laying around, and showered with it and then shaved with Irisch Moos and it was a great combo!
