So creams over 3.something ounces can't be taken in carry on baggage. How about soap pucks? I imagine that TSA would let them pass in my carry on, but frankly I don't want to experiment with a $20 puck just to have it seized. Have any of y'all carried a soap puck in your carry on luggage?
I guess the question is how it would look on the X-ray machine. If it looks like a gel, forget it, it is a goner. This is a good question....
I don't go any where near anything to do with the TSA (too much Government invasion of privacy)or the Airport. ($12.00 & $2.00 bucks for a bottle of water or Soda what a rip) I went to a courthouse had to take my belt off and they wanted me to give up my pocket knife, (it was my Fathers I took when he died. The Wicked Witch of the North wanted to give it to my worthless Brother-in-Law) they even made me take off my Medical Alert necklace. I went back out to my truck and locked up all things that would set off their metal detectors, wait until my gets Jury Duty again she has had Total Knee Replacement in her right leg and is going to have her Left Knee done also.
I've never had any issues with bar sopap or shaving soap while travelling, and since it's not a liquid it doesn't need to go in the ziploc bag. I do take cheaper soaps though, just in case...
I've never tried. One time I thought I was good by bringing a 7 oz. bottle of sun tan lotion that had probably 2 oz. left in it. They didn't like that and thought I was being a wise guy. They took it away.
I'm with you @PatrickA51. Unfortunately 9/11 made people scared and we forgot that being safe or healthy or cared for isn't what's important. The ONLY important thing is "FREEDOM"!! It's what our forefathers died for. IMO NOTHING else counts!! See what you started
what is TSA approved nowadays?? they strip you down to your draws at the airport and it is completely ridiculous. my advice would be to avoid traveling by plane at all cost, but I understand it is necessary sometimes.
Yes. I've had no problems with soap pucks. I wouldn't want to risk some of the softer Italian soaps, though. Some of those are borderline creams.
im pretty sure they do that as well. im just glad I don't have to travel for work. if I was forced to be treated that way it would not end good.
I've never had any issue with solid pucks or sticks in my carryon. I've never traveled with cream in a tube
