Is this safety razor worth buying?

    Hi, Gents!
    It looks like it's not a gillette razor but I'm not sure what it is either. The top plate looks odd atm. I saw it on a fb flea market webpage and the seller asks for $5.

    No idea what it is, but for $5 it seems like a good investment to investigate it.

    But the base plate does look funny like swarden said.

    Hi! I want to keep you updated. The seller sent me the razor but it was rubbish and ugly looking besides it wasn't salvageable at all, so I returned it. He offered to send me another razor he has and sent a photo, I agreed and here is the score. He also sent a bottle of aqua velva made by Kopaş in İstanbul/Turkey with the razor as a compensation which I appreciated a lot.
