Isn't this the most beautiful brush you ever saw?

    It isn’t?
    I'm appalled, I truly am…
Wait I see the problem, there’s a typo in the headline. I meant the ugliest brush you ever saw :D

So I've had this badger knot for quite a while now, frankly I had forgotten all about it until my recent reorganizing of my shave den.
So when I passed the garden shed this morning and saw this “nice” looking broom stick present itself to me, I got an idea. Not necessary a good one, but an idea nonetheless.
A quick round with the saw later and I had this interesting looking handle. Added some Sugru to the top of it attached the knot to to the Sugru, and voila I had a potential new brush.

The Sugru needs 24 hours to cure before I know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if I needed to reinforce it with an additional pack of this stuff

No matter what happens, it was fun doing it and has so far been an interesting experience :)

After writing this post, it suddenly occurred to me where I had seen this "look" before" :D

+1 on the makeup brush. That's exactly what I thought when I saw it.

You know, since I am not in the habit of make upping, this did not occur to me. But I'll be "darned" that after I read this I am unable to unsee the blasted make up look on my "lovely" creation. :)

I guess I need to find a way to toughen it up a bit. Make it more masculine and less girly... And I think I just got an idea ;)

Maybe a wood lathe would help.

I think you might be able to get a motor cycle handlebar grip for a more masculine touch. That might help.

Does it lather better with hard or soft soap, face or bowl?

I am not sure, I haven't used it all that much. But it has enough backbone to work with hard soap, but enough fluff to work with cream. The same goes for bowl vs face, I guess it works pretty well for both methods.
I cant't remember exactly, but I will keep this question in mind next time I use it.

But I think I prefer a 22-24 sized knot over this one.

The best handles..imo..are the long paint brushy ones. The hands stay out of the soap and you get great leverage. Keep up the good work..:happy088:
