Well.......I thought i would tell you all something funny that happened to me. I bought a couple of bars of Issy's Tropical Fruit soap. It smells wonderful, something like candy. I kept putting my nose to it thinking.....so sweet. So i decided i would taste it........and BAM i was shocked back to reality that it was Soap. I dont know why i stuck my tongue out and tasted it....but...damn the bitter taste in my mouth was a shock...and made me think i was a moron. Well......as they say.......FLAME ON!!
rofl Men are FUNNY!!!! Bob (bearbeard) will be along eventually to wallow in the muck of morondom with you soon. He licked a stick of deodorant. And there have been others, too. :rofl
Oh, well...if you lived down here, that would have been proceeded by, "Hey y'all, watch this!!" Then all your buddies could have laughed their a$$es off at you. Oh, wait.... rofl
yeah....i mean its intoxicating.....i just figured...haha BTW..i was tired when i posted this...its not shave soap...but rather regular soap.
According to this lovely wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aqua_Velva some American sailors actually drank AV with some juice just because it has such high amounts of alcohol. I cannot even begin to understand the depths of madness that would be necessary to think that something that is made to be used on your face is drinkable. And I suppose I can join the halls of the less fortunate to taste shave creme albeit not entirely my fault. One of my friends thought it would be funny to put some nice thick lather on top of my sorbet instead of whipped cream. And I have this really bad habit of just acting like a hoover and suck up all the cream on top of a sorbet so within 1 and a half second I downed a small mountain of lather. Needless to say my friend was speechless and I wasn't amused.
Sounds like your friend probably used canned shaving cream. Have you tasted any of your high quality shaving creams? For comparison purposes of course!
Never fear...I am working on a shaving soap recipe...if it comes out as I think it will the lather n slick should be twice that of my soap. Issy
Didnt mean that in a bad way...I make a goat milk n honey that has to be hid from children because they will taste it in a heartbeat and in the "early days" licking soap was a sure fire Ph tester. Issy
But you know there are those who've done that (and MUCH worse) and lived to tell the tale. I mean, insert your own "you might be a redneck if..." joke here. BTW, welcome aboard, Issy!!
