You know.....i had a pretty neat conversation with my step father the other day. It seems as though in this day and age of technology and ease of living we have truly lost something. I remember watching shows as a kid where fathers would tell their kids....im gonna teach you to shave. In today's age what is there to teach? With the advent of Mach 3's, Fusions, etc. there is no reason to show the many techniques of shaving. I think its sad that little exercises like teaching somoene to shave that reenforces fonds are no longer. It all occured to me when i was talking to my step father about honing. He said, " You know all that stuff you did is alot of work." Thats when it hit me.....this is what they showed...these were the building blocks. I taugt myself how to shave with a straight 10 years ago or so. Who knows if it was the correct way, but it worked for me. Im not really sure why I posted this, but i just wanted to say its has been cool finding a group of people that i believe have a similar value system for the simplicity of life. I believe we are all kindred spirits in this forum. Cheers
