It's Here...Fine Shave Soap

I just received an update from Fine Accoutrements. The long awaited soap has arrived.

 

Just read the story behind the formula...very interesting.

I would like to try this...assuming it doesn't sell out in a day.

 

I too would like to try it once or twice but man I've got a lot of soap with more on the way already lol

When I got my email from Fine regarding the soap, I darn near failed my commitment to No Buy 2016! Thank goodness I get to live vicariously through the soap reviews that are due to be posted here!

Is the soap scent not a match to the aftershave?

 

Yes the American Blend soap is scented to match the aftershave .. i have been using the aftershave for over a year and just received my soap yesterday and can confirm it has the same scent.
I have not tried it yet but IMO the price is high for a 3.5oz (100g) puck in a box (close to $18 with shipping) now i will need to grate & press it into a container before trying out ... i think for the price it should come in a container like RazoRock etc

 

Chris Bailey (TSE) reviewed it on YouTube. Gave it very high marks.

 

It's fantastic!!

 

My initial impression is very positive as well. One shave in and I find this soap to be a great perfomer. It's slickery, and lather jumps off of the brush. The scent is strong American Blend.

I won't offer an opinion on its cost; I wanted it, so I bought it.

I finished the shave off with my typical witch hazel and then American Blend AS. I'm in high cotton this morning.

Four and a half thumbs up.

 

Yes. Same thoughts, the only thing it lacks is a container.

 

I think the one thing is that it's a triple milled hard soap so the price per Shave is significantly lower than the usual artisan soap. Less grams per shave
