Get M Bomb too. It doesn't affect soap performance. Let's interesting things like menthol Arko happen, also can be added 2-3 drops in your hand with any AS. It's potent, be warned. The AS Splash is actually one if the best skinfeel products I've yet tried. When I was learning to do traditional shaving, the AS by @Queen of Blades was also the only AS I've tried that didn't reopen small nicks after an alum treatment, if used sparingly. She puts the correct amount of moisturizers versus water and alcohol so that it's just about ideal for soothing irritated skin. SubZero also has no scent other than mint and menthol, so any fragrance is an option over the top. (I know I am a moderator, and have appearance of inherent bias in suggesting a forum product and then singing about it, I get that. But this is straight dope--all those pics were taken when I was a contributing member who paid full price for the products and not yet "a part of TSD 's crew.")
No need to defend yourself. I trust you on it, and will be obtaining some soon. Menthol Tabac, anyone? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
also @PickledNorthern Do you have any cautionary tales for Jared? Maybe people that have abandoned NB or things of that nature? It's ok to collect razors, gentlemen.
I abandoned last year and have a few hundred razors to show for it. I am in it to win it this year. Unless, of course, THAT razor shows up on the radar...
Glacial is a product range, so yes, we both think it's up there. I read that post, you had the Glacial version, if memory serves.
Given a choice between spending the year shaving with a shavette razor like the Captain Kai that I didn't nick myself with or staying in an NB and either losing a lot of blood to my existing razor or else giving up on trying shavettes at all for the year, I would dump an NB in a heartbeat too. There's reasonable restraint and then there's just being stupid about it.
Aside from just enjoying the stuff I already have, my goal is really to finish the year with less stuff than I started with. The longer I continue to NB (take 2), the better the odds.
