It was a good shave. I had a Derby Extra blade in the razor. I did 3 passes and still had a bit of clean up to do. It is a very mild razor and I would definitely recommend it to a newbie!
Thanks for putting a picture up. I used a Derby Extra and Van Der Hagen soap with it and a really inexpensive brush. IT is definitely mild. I wonder if putting a sharper blade in it if it would change the dynamics?
I just received this razor in the mail and was quite pleasantly surprise d. The razor has good weight and feels good in my hand. The handle is nicely textured so I don't think I will have any issues holding it. The matte finish is sharp looking and the opening mechanism is really smooth. Glad I took a chance on this one. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
