    Master Lilac Vegetol After Shave,
Master Lord & Master After Shave
    Stephan Island Lime After Shave
    Clubman Eau de Portugal

Anyone got any thoughts on these products? I've never used any of them myself, so it's a bit of a blind buy.

I'm looking forward to trying them out :)

I can only speak to the Master's Lilac Vegetol. I like it. My dad gave me a sample size bottle of it and I am almost out so I'm using less and less each time I go back in an effort to prolong the life. It is the only AS I haven't added menthol to, strangely enough...I heard it described as rotten fruit smell, but I don't agree with that at all. It smells very flowery though so be prepared to smell flowery...all day. It has staying power.

I like flowery scents if they are done right. Yours is the second good review of the Master's Lilac Vegetol. I haven't manned up enough to try the Pinaud version.

I just ordered the 6 oz version ... now I wish I had gotten the 15 oz one :)

Lilac Vegetol- not bad but not for me, better than the Clubman Liliac, smells like Lilacs to me only as it dries down .

Lord and Master- nice, very orange smell.

Eau de Portugal- similarly orange smell but more subtle. One person made the case of wearing it as a splash, smells good enough to.

Love Appletons, I have shopped with them a bunch.

    My favorite Masters are
Astringent- smells like Lilac V but it has more jazzed up skin care, this one is always overlooked.
Topaz- My favorite, sweet and very 50's American barbershop.
Spice- good stuff, this and Challenge smell alike somewhat, can't describe it, its NOT Old Spice at all, and not really spicy either.
Iceland Breeze- this one is odd but good, its old fashion violet.

The understandable rap against Master A/S is the smell is synthetic, compared with higher end A/S its true. The skincare to me is better than the Clubman line and a fraction less than Boosters. But still I like it.

I almost grabbed the Topaz based on other reviews. I may order some next month. I'll check out the astringent also.

Lord and Master goes on a bit strong but smoothes down after a 1/2 hr. or so to a decent masculine fragrance.

Stephan Lime is very nice. So is Lilac if you ever want to try it. Both smell fresh and last a decent time. They're not huge in the soothing department so mostly use them for the smell.

Topaz settles into a soft baby powder odor that lasts most of the day.

Haven't tried the others you mentioned. I like Appletons too.

The Stephan Island Lime is good by itself or with other scents. I use it to give a lime finish to Old Spice and Bay Rums, and it goes great with Osage Rub. The Stephan's Bay Rum is an excellent low key, low spice bay rum, which gets frequent use in my den.

My favorite Master scents are Bay Rum, Musk, Blue, and Topaz, in that order.

Part of my plan was to Lime-Up some of the Family Dollar Vi-Jon Old Spice clone, as well as some of my Master Bay Rum. I ordered the 15 oz bottle of Lime so I'd have plenty :).
