So I was right at the end of a tube of Bigelow cream, and you know how software takes on immortality when you get near the end of it. It's like Jesus feeding the five thousand. Each time I shaved I thought there would only be one more shave left to it, but then I'd say the same thing next time. So this morning I thought heck widdit and kept squeezing into the bowl until it was all out. Ended up being about twice as much as I would normally use; I normally use about an inch of cream out of the tube. Well just let me say, I have the most magnificently smooth and close shave I've had in a while. I have to attribute this to the extra cushion from using more product. Moral of the story, I think I'll start using a little more cream than I have been.

I was having the same problem with a bar of Yardley Almond and Oatmeal soap. In six weeks of showers I couldn't kill that bar for some reason, and since I didn't care for the soap, ( I don't like soap that feels like its been dropped in a sand box) I finally threw it away and opened one of their new varieties, Aloe and Cucumber.

I always use way more product than it seems most recommend/use.
Yet I can't think of the last soap/cream I managed to kill.

That was horrible soap, indeed! :(

The C.O. Bigelow Mentha bath soap from Bath and Body Works was awesome, except for the dang grit, too. :(
I think it was even damaging my skin, with all that grit scratching at me.

I have some QCS oatmeal bath soap that is gritty, and I actually don't mind it. It kind of has an exfoliating thing to it. I could take it or leave it, either way.

I picked up some Bigelow in a tube last week. I really like it. Lathers well and provides the protection needed. I am of the same school and use more than I probably need to use. I love whipping the stuff up!

CO Bigelow is good stuff. I think I'll break mine out, I haven't used it an awhile.

As someone who has moderate Rosacea on his face, I've been sensitive to the menthol and had occasional flair ups with the Biglelow version of the cream.

On a whim last week I knew that I was going to be showering at the gym later in the day, but really wanted a shave, so I tried the hot, moist towel method of face prep, but smeared Bigelow on my face as a pre-shave. After prep, I reapplied and simply face lathered with a nicely broken in Semogue 1305 and almost instantly I had wonderful, thick protective lather, a wonderful shave and nice smooth skin afterwards.

Since then, I've face lathered Bigelow three more times and enjoyed it immensely. I can't imagine bowl lathering this cream in the future. Face lathering it is almost too easy and results a superb lather.

I've been adding more than almond sized dabs, and really love the results I'm getting, this thread inspired me to use more and I'm so glad I tried it!

+1. I'm going to try this also. I've been kind of stingy with the cream. LOL

I've been a getting a wondrous thick rich lather by adding more to my bowl, a generous circle of cream on the bottom of my bowl is awesome :)
