Title said "Aristocrat?" So I'll assuming the seller didn't know exactly what it is. And help would be appreciated
Looks like an aluminum handled tech. Might be brass or aluminum head. Not a later Zamak head, that's for sure.
It is a brass base plate (razor pan) and if I recall the top of the head usually uses copper as a base metal. It's been a while though, LOL.
Oh, gotcha. I have one like almost exactly like it, was from '65 or '66. I will go see if I have a pic.
Okay, I lied. Mine is a Ball Handle from '62, or an H2 date code. The head on yours looks exactly the same though. Let us know when you get it. Good score. It will be a very mild, nice shaver. Sorry, crappy pic.
Yes I currently have a travel tech. Gives a great shave, just wanted one with a full sized handle because the small travel handle is awkward at times
Aluminum handled tech. I have two both are stamped "made in England". One has a shave head like yours with the "Gillette" stamp on the top of the cap and is a solid bar. The other one of has an OC shave head, it may be a "Frankinrazor"? Neither have a date code.
All of them are as far as I know. The ones with Gillette 'etched' on the head are either brass, aluminum, or copper...depends on the region of manufacture and time period. Edit: I'm referring specifically to the top cap, here.
Actually I think it's a frankenrazor. That style head is from the 40's-50's. The handle itself is from the 60's. It's definitely a case of a good head on a good handle.
