This is a case @Jrdelgado wanted me to work on for his Kampfe Star razor. From the first pic, you can pretty much see the condition it was in. The interior material had really faded, as in others I've seen.................

I removed the outside material, and just went with filling in some gaps and sanding it. The following pics are of the case completed. I made a new cloth hinge for it and put a few coats of black paint, including a few clear coats. I also re-lined the interior with new material. After looking at images on the net of the case, there were some variations of the colors, and I picked what I wanted to use. The following three pics show the case done.............

Very nice, Jim. I like what you have done with the case. Did you cover the case with some new material or just paint it? My case is is pretty bad shape on the outside, and the snap has separated from the top.

I just painted it after removing the cover. Putting new material on it would be more difficult because of the round corners.

That's cool. It really looks good now. I may have to try that with mine.

Besides making a mess, it's really not that hard to do. Just fill in the areas at the joints and sand it good. Put as many coats that you'd like for the finish. I did leave the material on the sides of the inside of the case as it was in good shape.

    :happy096: Great work Jim!

Have you figured out how to recreate the printing for the inside lid? I was thinking that maybe a stencil could possibly work. :signs002:
