Sorry to be late, but I’m glad you found your answer. more details Kent BK8 really like their handles and find their silver tips soft, but far too floppy. Though would be nice to re-knot.
Soft knots have earned an unnecessarily harsh reputation for floppiness, and undeservedly so imo. They are a category of knot style unto themselves. We accept them for what they are without preconceptions compared to other knot styles. They’re just different is all.
I agree ..... to each shaver, may they find the brush that pleases them, and not pushed to fit in a particular style or product. For myself I find particular qualities I desire in a brush; Medium backbone Tips can range from soft to scritch, but not gel (reminds me too much of something growing in the woods on the backside of a log). Early on I embraced and enjoyed synthetic knots though ..... I enjoy shaving due to its very basic organic feel, so over the past two to three years I've given all my synthetic brushes away and returned to badger and boar knots. I find there is enough plastic in my life and though the synthetic can have a wonder feel, I crave nature and to that end natural knots.
