I saw this razor while watching this TV-Series today. I just wanted to share that exact scene with you. Guess this is the correct thread.

What show is that from? From what I've heard of Kriegars, use as a TV prop is about as close to they come to being useable. I don't have any firsthand knowledge...

It's the show "Under the Dome" based on a Steven King novel.
    Nice shave scene.

I saw that and noticed that he was shaving at a 90 degree angle. It was a fake shave.

I noticed that, too :) But I wasn't sure as I'm not familiar with straight razors much.

That's why they used a Kriegar, as I was saying. Not going to get hurt from the ridiculous angle by a butterknife.

    Horrible angle indeed.

I wonder the percentage of the viewing audience (present company excluded) who would have actually noticed anything wrong about the blade, the shave angle, the lack of lather, etc— but rather focused on the ominous or slightly sinister undertones of the shaving scene.
I'm sure on 'Barber's forums' (are there 'Barber's Forums'?), members would be going apoplectic at the inaccuracies...
I've been on forums where WW2 experts were lambasting Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan' for many military inaccuracies that only those who have a deep interest in would really notice.
