Welcome aboard matey. Pull up a cask of rum and rest your peg leg.

BTW. Which John Wayne WWII movie did that avatar come from? Which reminds me, I need to watch "Blood Alley" that got for Christmas.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone !

I used the shave oil once for actual shaving. Wasn't impressed. I prefer to use it as an aftershave/balm. Really soothing. Besides, I just have to have tons of lather on my face or it isn't a real shave for me.:D

    About the avatar:
I made it from a photo I got from a John Wayne fan site. I don't remember which one, though. The quote comes from "In Harm's Way" (which is on my ever-growing list of 'To Be Bought'--after shaving stuff, of course! There are priorities in life, after all!).

BTW, I'm having wonderful success with my recently acquired '73 Slim Adjustable. Even at 4, the thing is incredibly gentle. Almost too tame. Nothing like the Merkur 1904 ! I'm going to continue ratcheting up a notch a day until I either hit BBS heaven or blood.

    Cheers!

    Nice pics, Rich!

Is your lower photo a Lightning? What's the plane in the first photo?
    Here are my favorite planes:

    favorite workhorse-- DC-3

    favorite warbird-- North American P-51

The first plane is an A-10 Warthog close support aircraft and the second is a P-38 Lightning. Workhorse planes without a doubt.

Love both of those planes. Partial to C-130's myself.
