First shave today with a Leresche 77, Astra SP blade, Tabac and a Kent Silvertip. A wonderful shaving experience ! The Leresche is less aggressive and much more comfortable than a R41 but in the same time, very efficient.

If anyone would happen to know the years of production/specific informations of these razors, I would be happy to learn more.

I've had mine lying around waiting to be cleaned up for months..thanks for the nudge :)
The Leresche #77 has been called the 'best' DE razor ever made (their #51 is not far behind in praise) so happy to hear it worked well for you (these things are obviously very subjective).

The best Leresche site that I know of is the Leresche archives run by our very own @Cha-wing!! who I'm sure can answer any and all question about these razors :)

That razor has a very interesting design. It looks like it is pretty aggressive.

Hi there, thank you @Darkbulb for making me work ! Hehe, this razor's design is from the 1930s, the patent is dated 21st of February 1935 :

But I haven't found any adverts before 1937. This razor came in different cases (velvet-lined classic cases in different colors, all-plastic case and all-wooden case), and in two sizes, but I'm not sure if the different sizes were made on purpose.

This razor in one of the mildest yet efficient I have. I love it ! Be careful with the guard bars, they are very fragile and we often find them bent.

Very interesting. I'm glad you got a good shave with it.

Thank you for this very interesting information ! Unfortunately, I don't have the case. To your knowledge, is it hard to find ?

With pleasure ! Yes, the case is hard to find. The razor itself is rare, (although not uber-rare), but the case alone I've never seen.

I forgot to say that this razor was produced until the end of the 1950s ;)

Here is a "letter" from Leresche to its retailers in 1939, praising the #77 :

Ok, now I'm gonna have to clean mine up and use it. I was able to make it through 2/3 of that using my continuously deteriorating French.....

Finally, I have it in my rotation!

    As I received it:

    After a little cleaning.
Light, so as not to erase what remains of the plating (Nickel for the head / Silver for handle) :

    How does it shave?

Razor to classify rather in the category of "aggressive", but it is necessary to qualify.

    - Very effective, especially on long pils.
Ideal for a weekly shave: no clogging.
The easiest to rinse DE I have tested.
1st pass: CCS in 2 mm, on 7 days beard.
Very effective also on contours (legs in my case).

    - Not very comfortable:
Blade well present (Triton R3 - # 1), we can feel it pass.
Or maybe it's the teeth of the comb, pulling on the skin?

    - Very safe.
It does not sting too much during the badgering of the second pass, or when the alum passes.
No blood point or micro cut after 2 passes, for a DFS +.

    - Add to that that it is rather singing.
So suitable for looking for the ultimate BBS.

    Aggressive therefore, but frankly aggressive.
Unlike some razors of treacherous aggressive:
Very comfortable, with which you do not feel the blade pass "during", but "after".
