I can't do 5 passes without irritation... I did two south-to-north passes first last night. It went VERY well. I'm going to build my shave routine on that from here on out. The skin felt less 'worked' than my previous, convetional method. I remember, way back in the M3 days, that I started with an south-north pass, and got my best results that way, then, too.
I used to do two n-s then I would try a w-e pass. now I do just the first two and touch up. not as smooth but nobody can tell but me. Plus I get more to shave off the next morning. And less irritation all day long.
