Points for the rhyme. But i had to check that one pending review by an actual dutch speaker. But google says that siroop is medicinal, ex. Cough syrup. Stroop is the syrup you put on food to make it zoet en lekker (sweet and tasty).
I'm just glad someone else finished that one. My mind was going in a completely different direction with snot pea soup and a digestive activity that rhymes with soup and group (and why Bert didn't want any).
