The lion super stainless blades are manufactured in South Africa, and are the only razor blades available from most chemist's and pharmacies. Lots of them dont even stock de blades which is quite disappointing, so when i started de shaving i loaded up on four packs of these although im currently working my way through a tester pack with international blades. The lion super stainless blades get a bad rap here in South Africa, often because people use it with the lion de razor which was my first de and is cheap and nasty, however it still shaves better than a cartridge. Pop it in a proper quality razor like an aristocrat or a merkur etc, and it will deliver a shave comparable to any other international blade. Id compare these blades to something like the derby extra, however i find them a bit sharper and a tiny bit less smooth. They retail here for 11 rand, less than a dollar for a tuck of 5.
