Today at Walgreens I couldn't resist opening the box to examine the long handled version of the VDH (Weishi?) razor, which I'd not seen before. It had surprisingly nice heft and very grippy knurling. $25 is still about 5x what I'd give for it but it seemed a pretty nice razor. Gunmetal finish was a nice touch as well.
I paid $10 for my 9306CEL. I was at Kroger yesterday. They had shave soap, the DE razor, and the blades. No brush to use with the soap.
I paid 17 EUR for the Weishi FL. Yes, it's heavy. I weighted it 75g. That's more than the EJ DE89 knurled handle Amazon Edition that i have. I also read some opinions online, that the extra weight makes it more aggressive than the short handle counterpart. But i can't judge myself. I also think, that somewhere, i saw a photo of someone show the gunmetal finish kind of being ruined. That's why i went for Chrome. But that may be a specific case of use.I got BBS with Astra SP on the first shave with the FL.
