View attachment 66404 View attachment 66404 I've been looking at all of the videos on using a straight and am thinking of taking the plunge, but I need y'alls help. I've been hunting on the bay, looking at members links, you know the usual. I found a few that I like, and just stumbled onto this one. What do you think?
Very nice and a excellent choice for a first time user 5/8 round point full hollow couldn't have choosen better, If you decide to go ahead and buy the razor then get it off as soon as you can to Glen he will put a shave ready edge on it.
questions Who restored it ??? Is the seller disclosing that it has been restored ?? What was done during the restoration ?? Ask these questions , feel comfortable with the answers I see no damage or issue with the razor,,, in the pics
This forum has be great in helping me find a straight. This is what I have found out. The razor has only been polished honed and stropped. Here is his description. Good condition no chips or cracks minimal home ware to spine All lettering is crisp and clear there are sporadic very lite and shallow Buffed and polished Pits at first glance hardly noticeable. The Three pin Cracked Ice Celluloid scales are in Excellent condition no chips or cracks. They look beautiful with their Shinny Brass Double Duck Bolster And Gold Edge Inlay Pins are snug and Blade Centers. Thanks again!
Razor looks to be in great shape. I second Jamie's observations on the style of blade and his recommendation of having Glen get it shave ready. A great intro into the realm of SR shaving!
Living in San Francisco I immediately interpreted the name of this thread completely different. But I do hope you find a good straight. Ok, that doesn't sound any better.
@ObiDon Sounds like a good honest description, that is the most important part They are awesome shavers, they really are...
