Came across Luxury Barber recently, they have a pretty generous rewards program where you get points that are worth a dime each. Create an account, get 25 points; sign up for their email newsletter, get 25 more. And for every product you review on their site, you get 15 points. In the space of less than an hour, I'd built up $14 in points. The points can't be used for shipping charges, but! this week they have free shipping as a Father's Day promotion. So I just cashed in my points and have an $18 bottle of Captain's Choice Lime aftershave headed my way for a grand total of $4. The selection isn't huge, but they have some quality stuff. TOBS, EJ, Merkur, Muhle, Castle Forbes, etc.
I can see how they can offer such generous rewards when a Merkur 1904 and EJ are $40. They have an interesting cream "Dreadnought" which a reviewer on Amazon says "Decelerine. I'm no scientist but as I understand it, Decelerine, over time, works within the hair follicles to eventually weaken new hair formation resulting in less dense, softer and generally less noticeable facial hair." I just got $5 in points. And wrote a review. No more points are showing up for the review.
There's a little delay before the review points show up, I think someone looks at them to make sure you're submitting an actual review.
I went ahead and ordered some cream as a test run. The shipping is odd. 1 item was $4.84, and 2 items was $11.31... Doesn't seem like any kind of incentive to combine items in one order.... I used PayPal.
Their razors are a little pricey, about $5-$6 more than on Amazon. Even so, they offer a pretty good selection of products. Hey, more wetshaving retailers are better than less. Ever notice how the word "shavepocalypse" is seldom seen anymore? There are many hundreds of online wetshaving retailers now, a very good thing.
That's a very polished looking site - I rather like it. Will have to return to the site in August to check it out in more detail
Exactly. Not every site is going to have the same pricing on every item, or the best price on every single item. They may be a little higher on a razor, but they have very good prices on TOBS and Proraso products.
