Has anyone tried the Maggard branded synthetic shaving brush? I don't own a synthetic so may give this one a try, if I hear a few good reviews.
A couple guys on The Shaving Room forum ordered some a couple weeks ago. They were pretty happy with them.
I have one. It quickly became my go to brush. I love it. If you get one buy two. One to use and a second for reserve. I wish I had.
Mine is on the way! I think it was delayed due to the snow. However, I checked the tracking number and it should be in my mailbox tomorrow. I can't wait to try this baby out!
Jim, I have the RazoRock Plissoft and this Maggard brush, they both perform the same but the Maggard brush sure does look like a custom brush.
Well, it's arrived! My wife sent a text to me and said so! I'll check it out once I get home. She also asked me what happened to NB 16. Hmm... Anyway, I'll be trying it out tomorrow morning.
Looks tempting, but I'm not too sure about the handle shape. Doesn't look very comfortable to me. The odd shape of the Stirling Kong brush was one of the reasons I sold it. What do those who already own a Maggard brush think about the handle?
I like the handle. It fits nicely into the palm of my hand and it allows me to get a nice grip on it. The brush really holds the lather and has enough backbone to whip up that lather in no time. It weighs as much as my Semogue boar, but is slightly larger. It's a good quality brush, with nice looks and well worth the $15.
I hate all these companies are coming out with these amazing brushes during No Buy 2016!!! LOL....must resist...... I have a synthetic TGN knot I put in an olivewood handle. I am finding that more and more, it's the first brush I reach for anymore. The synthetics have come a long way
