In my hunt at all the local thrift stores i found a tragedy happening. All of them when recieving donated stuff either throw out or recycle safety razors and neck cutters due to either sanitary reasons or they say they are weapons. It is ok to sell used bed pans and cheep knifes found several. The only hope is places that see value in saving a little history. Still looking at pawn shops and mom n pop shops when i find them. The only success i have found is this place of like minded Ladies and Gents with wealth of knowledge. So what is the weirdest place you have found a shaving item? B
That is the story of thrift stores across the nation. So far the only razors I have found outside of the internet have been in antique stores.
At work. Actually one my coworkers brought in a Fatboy and gave it to me. Guess I didn't find it, but it found me.
I just converted a friend of mine about 6 weeks ago. Wednesday night he calls me to let me know he found something for me in his basement (it was his grandma's house, she passed away about 5 years ago.) "I found a box in the basement that has 2 Old Spice shaving mugs and 10 Old Spice shaving soaps still sealed in their boxes, they look like they are from the 50's. Do you want half of them?" :shocked003 :happy108 Of course I accepted his generous offer. I can't wait to see him next week!
That is a shame. They have probably thrown out razors that are hundreds of dollars. If you ask them to put them aside it could work. As long as that person is not a pain. That is a nice score you got there.
