I picked up some Gillette Cool Wave After Shave and like the scent. So I figured I'd try to match it with the Deodorant. Problem is that I don't like Gel, and I feel that the applicator it came in is garbage. Are there any Gillette Cool Wave solid Deodorants Still being sold anywhere? What other Deodorants kinda match with the Cool Wave, maybe a Speedstick or Right Guard?

No. I can't. It is to complex. I'm not really able to pick out specific notes. But most stores do have the Gillette Cool Wave (Gel) Deodorant. Some still have the After Shave.
If Drakkar made a marine scent this would be it.Starts off as a dark marine scent and in a bit the marine fades away but never completely disappears.In fact as the day goes by the marine scent will waft back up to the surface at random intervals and come to the fore a while and then fade away again.As the marine fades a two-thirds strength Drakkar scent takes over and hangs around all day and evening like a penniless friend.Thank god it is 2/3 strength because it can get somewhat cloying .Having said all that the wife likes it .....so it must be good.Rebottle it and call it Drakkar del Mar or Drakkar Blue and up the price.As for deo's I just use a cool water clone or Brut Revolution.Also dust yourself with a Cool Water type baby powder for a good layering of scent.
