Well, Happy Birthday yesterday was my Birthday also.
I use a Weber 3pc/ with the 85mm Classic Handle, I also got myself a Atlas 7pc.Set. I used it yesterday fore the first time. I like it but I really prefer my Weber. It might be because I am use to the Weber. Will see what happens again Happy Birthday.

I have never used any adjustable razor I do have one a Gillette date code #J-1, I am really not that adept or should I say proficient to it though.

Well folks my first shave with merkur long handle adjustable:
My shave was a first time for a few different variables.
    1) new razor
    2) new merkur razor blade
3)new soap mix ( Arco&Aos) nice blend I really liked it.

2 Nicks bad enough had to use steeping pencil alum didn't work on one of my nicks
I believe that weepers are due to the wrong blade/razor combo.
The length of the handle is very nice and so is the heft, the shave DFS/BBS says my wife's lips and cheeks.the handle has a different kinda feel that I need to get used to this long handle merkur is not my slim handle but still a very nice shaver.
    Take care 45auto

Don't feel bad I call that an exercise in. "Bloodletting" I used my ATT razor yesterday , Not bad. I used it again this morning or I should say just before noon and the RazoRock Alum Block and a few ounces of, T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel and maybe one or two band-aides didn't help much.

I would recommend it. They are just as good as a ATT Razor. I like mine they are IMO even better than the ATT I think they are a little over priced. But it's still a well made razor.

Kronos:The Kronos handle is 3½" long and weighs 71 grams.
    The Combs:

    R1
:The R1 Base Plate is the mid aggressive and most versatile of the solid bar line with a .58 mm blade gap.
    M1
:The M1 Base Plate is the mildest and most gentle of the solid bar line with a .25 mm blade gap.
