I've got a Merkur 39C and it is a fantastic razor, no doubt. I have the 37C too, and I find I use it more often -- I like the shorter handle. There are many razors that I love to use, and I enjoy having many options when choosing which razor for the day. However, if I had to pick a "desert island" razor, a Merkur slant would be a contender, for sure.
Mine just arrived today! I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Going to wait until November so I can finish the 30 focus. Pretty excited about it. Love the weight of it....a little heavier than I was thinking...but that's a good thing....I think
You gonna love it Joef -- the weight feels great while shaving! I most often use an Astra SP blade, but the 39 can handle any blade I've tried in it. ~ Happy Shaves ~
I'm going to break it out tonight. I had some ingrown hairs I wanted to heal up first. I'm pretty stoked about it!
